Having raised orphan squirrels - this just looks a lot like he's enjoying the heat from the pavement. I had one that used to flatten out similarly on the windowsill after a sunny day.

So listen to Safyre42 who's actually had squirrels instead of excited ignorants who think they have "captured something amazing". The stupidity disappoints me.
