I like clocky, but whoever made this had the idea that they had to bash the idea of R2-D2 into our heads. Alright, we get it, it sounds like R2.

Most people (me included) would more than likely cheat and put it on it's side or somewhere where it couldn't roll thus defeating the purpose. I would get it as a gift but never for myself. I wouldn't mind if someone got it for me as a gift, but like I said, I'd cheat.
