Seems like google is what IBM was in the 60-70's here in NY. I wil admit I have sent several resumes to them a few years back..No response =P

I've seen a Google information like this before... They look great, but they make me think of something: They never mention the work amount. They're sure happy, but do they have a life outside, or do they literally live there, since there are so many benefits?

If you're as happy working there as they are, then what would be so bad about working more than the average person? The stress they 'deal' with is nothing like the negative stress at a normal job, and with so many perks and services at no cost to them I don't think anyone would mind working all day. The only bad thing might be sleep deprivation, but I don't think Google is flexible enough to give them plenty of sleep.
I really wish I worked there, but it's more than an impossibility for me.

Atari used to have a similar work environment until Warner communications came in and fucked everything up. Watch the History of Video games (It's on this site somewhere) and you'll see, they may not have had the chefs and doctors, but they definitely encouraged people to be creative...

All companies should keep that good care of their employees :) These guys understand the value of human resourses. Im sure it is also an investment that makes more money than it takes.

to Angren, I agree with martin. Anyway, Google has a great atmosphere. I'd like to work there, but I'd be a bit worried that like the reporter said, it's a bit too nice, I mean, with all that stimulation, I don't think you'd work as well, but, who knows. I don't work there.
