TheSceptic (guest)  -  March 16, 2006, 23:55
What could happen, im going to do it with an old microwave i have. Looks like fun.
DaneMan (guest)  -  March 18, 2006, 16:11
You should listen to Hammond, DON'T DO THIS AT HOME KIDS!
Pao (guest)  -  March 19, 2006, 16:26
Brainiac is a wonderful program.
Vanilla thunder (guest)  -  April 9, 2006, 04:05
i TRIED it ,but my house almost burnt down
billy (guest)  -  April 25, 2006, 06:16
i did it and now i have cancer
gonna do it!!! (guest)  -  May 4, 2006, 03:03
Totally gotta try it....
Ed (guest)  -  May 14, 2006, 00:50
I think I read somewhere that if you cut a grape in half and put it in the microwave it makes plasma too. and whilst we're on the subject...why dont some of you try putting a CD in there? - Ive heard that makes quite a show...
p5ychop3nguin  -  May 21, 2006, 01:23
I put a cd in at a hotel room. It sparked a lot, cracked the backing and lit the backing on fire.
sexpistols (guest)  -  June 3, 2006, 20:24
yeah, i am so gonna try that!!! .....and sorry everyone..........but i really have to say it..... GOODNESS GRACIOUS GREAT BALLS OF FIRE
guest (guest)  -  June 8, 2006, 15:27
So here I am, trying this at home, right? I think it n-- OH SHI-
poop1123 (guest)  -  June 18, 2006, 22:01

the toothpick in the microwave oven is very fun i did this microwave experiment in my moms kitchen microwave oven the balls of fire where the size of an orange
sdrawkcab (guest)  -  July 8, 2006, 05:24
"We do these experiments so you don't have to..." Yeah, right... It's just too tempting not to try :D
ricky (guest)  -  July 11, 2006, 22:40
the programme is on in the UK called brainiacs
Phil Brown (guest)  -  July 18, 2006, 22:51
Boring, they aint seen what I can do
TheGrimLavaLamp (guest)  -  July 24, 2006, 05:20
I've tried this experiment several times, once for myself and a few other times to show people. It really is one of the more incredible and impressive phenomena you can make with materials available in any home. I've heard from other sources, though, that it makes a tiny bit of toxic gas, so leaving some windows open would be a good idea if you're going to try it.
Killa (guest)  -  July 25, 2006, 20:21
You can see brainiac on Discovery chanell every day (didn't memorize when it starts), but mostly they show old series (i've seen a few of them over 4 times. They do even better stuf. Like puting alkaline metals in water. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2134266654801392897&q=alkaline+metals
hyperforce (guest)  -  July 31, 2006, 21:11
If that really is plasma then it ´might´ also produce small amounts of radioactive radiation , indeed better keep a window open :P
Idiothater (guest)  -  August 2, 2006, 22:03
The show is called Brainiac its a british blow-up stuff/ science program.
2BRNO2B (guest)  -  August 6, 2006, 06:18
Seems to me there's the possibility of a free energy device in there somewhere.
Grimner (guest)  -  August 12, 2006, 22:02
This is to good to not try myself. Been playing with the microwave before this will be fun.
JespeR (guest)  -  August 13, 2006, 17:07
ooo, plasma
Somebody (guest)  -  August 17, 2006, 13:03
2BRNO2B you fucking dumb cunt asswipe learn your physics.
asswhipe (guest)  -  August 20, 2006, 23:04
a rice bowl with a Fourk leveft in it will do the same thing
dooper (guest)  -  August 23, 2006, 07:06
Hey Somebody.... plasma is trying to be harnessed for energy... anything that can produce fire is a source of energy.... so why dont you shutup you "fucking dumb cunt asswipe"... and fire/plasma have nothing to do with physics... you fucking retard
Someone. (guest)  -  September 6, 2006, 23:12
Looks like someone doesn't know the diffrence ^.^
Deleted0001  -  September 29, 2006, 17:32
Dude, I wanna try.
Boioing (guest)  -  October 15, 2006, 18:49
dooper and everyone thinkin this plasma could be harnessed as an alternative energy source... Ever thought of how much energy is used every fraction of a second when running the microwave? You don't get any "free" energy from anywhere. You're just using whole lotta electricity and converting it to light/heat etc.
Dirk (guest)  -  November 7, 2006, 18:02
guys... the burning of the pick gives exactly the same amount of energy as when you would burn it outside a microwave. the ony reason to put it there is to get a source of (i think) CO2 (or carbon dioxide). heating up the CO2 makes it go into a plasma state. What you see are not fireballs, but plasmaballs. this is comparable to boiling water and cooling down the vapors. You won't get any energy out of it, just fancy light effects :)
luder  -  November 28, 2006, 17:28
"why dont some of you try putting a CD in there? - Ive heard that makes quite a show..." I did that sometime ago, too, but just for a few seconds. It made nice random cracks in the cd. Interesting if you want to use a cd to decorate something.
Zorkmid (guest)  -  February 8, 2007, 15:09
Brainiacs is like Mythbusters on speed - as for a plasma being able to release more energy than it consumes, investigate the FUSOR before you decide..
penguinhomicide (guest)  -  February 28, 2007, 03:15
I tried the grape thing and it only made my house smell. Brainiac is on G4, the once really good but now comletely sold-out TV station. It's channel 354 on DirecTV.
british (guest)  -  March 30, 2007, 10:44
Phil Brown needs to chill the fu*k out and stop trying to make his big head blow up by thinking to higly of him/her-self , " then again try it phil i promise it dnt hurt"
british (guest)  -  March 30, 2007, 10:48
hay dooper, your a retard, dnt try calling any british production you overwaight yank, sorry redneck, hope you pissed of b***h
jer bear (guest)  -  October 3, 2007, 04:00
lol pretty cool i never thought u can do this
chadman82 (guest)  -  October 13, 2007, 23:09
you should try it with a light bulb... it makes for quite a show. The best part is that it works even if the bulb is burnt out.
Midson (guest)  -  May 19, 2012, 16:31
Always a good job right here. Keep rloilng on through.
